Again, it has been a long time since I wrote last (late_post_count++, guess I am too lazy...)...
Still I am in Melbourne, plans changed and my stay was extended so I got some more time to enjoy this beautiful place...
A lot happened since I wrote last..have been to many places and events...

Well, no trip to Australia can ever be complete without experiencing its wonderful fauna which is very different from rest of the world, animals you get to see no where else and one of the best places to see them is Healesville Sanctuary...
Kangaroos, wallabies, Koalas, Tasmanian Devils, Dingo's... you get to see them all here...
The way to Healesville Sanctuary on Badger Creek Road is also very beautiful and picturesque...
It passes through beautiful Yarra valley through number of wineries and plantations...

In other happenings, last month, Melbourne gave a grand welcome to their Olympic heroes,
It was a great opportunity to see all big Aussie names in Olympics...
and also a good chance to see their medals up close and personal..
Everyone was eager to cheer them, welcome them and get their signatures on their "Welcome Home" flags, this was Australia's most successful Olympics team ever....

Recently Melbourne Arts Festival has begun, this city never seems to take rest, never ceases to amaze me... so much happening at all times...

In other news, my mobile phone MMC card kicked the bucket recently taking along with it lot of snap shots I have taken here in Australia, I had few interesting shots in it and I didn’t
get a chance to upload them anywhere...sigh!!! (I am not a complete moron, I do have shots taken with a dedicated camera wherever it was needed... )
but that made way for a new MMC card with 5 year warranty (hope this will last that long), MMC cards are getting replaced by SD cards so it is tough to find them in the market but finally I managed to get a 64 Megs SanDisk MMC card, so now my phone has around 73 Megs of memory..that sounds a lot of storage capacity for a small phone...

*Words of Wisdom*: If your device uses MMC cards, buy few extra ones as soon as possible, they will be out of the market sooner than you think

If anyone knows how to recover data from dead MMC cards (may be using a USB card reader), please let me know.....

Continuing with storage, I got some more storage for myself in form of a USB drive
ok… whats cool about them, everyone has got one these days..
well, the one I bought i.e. SanDisk Cruzer Micro 512 MB is one of the smallest of the lot and it looks really beautiful with its blue LED at the back and the best part there is an MP3 attachment available for it, which allows you to plug in your drive into it and lets you play MP3s stored on that drive...
so when you are not using the drive.. you can load it up with your fav MP3s and there you go..

Incase you don’t want to carry along an MP3 player with you, just carry this small drive without any extra bulk as compared to other MP3 players which doubles as storage devices...so this is a thumb drive first and an mp3 player second..so the benefit is its upgradability - if needed you can always upgrade your MP3 player by buying more thumb drives...so you can have one thumb drive for rock, one for pop and list goes on… and this combo is a real value for money too...

Hope my next post will not have this much lag…but then it is just a hope…

I putted my MMC card from my nokia 6320 in a 9 on 1 USB card reader... and not only I cannot see what its inside but when I put it back in the phone, asks for a password, and when I put it back in the USB reader... no card detected...

Any clue?
